WESTFIELD — Lenox Memorial’s boys’ soccer team returned to the Division 3 regional championship round for the third straight year after earning a 3-0 victory over Pioneer Valley Regional on Nov. 13 on the Westfield State College football field.
   
The Millionaires took matters one step further than in 2008, winning the regional flag after Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Gateway Regional.
   
The decisions marked the first time the Millionaires have won four straight games and only the second time in 2009 that they have won consecutive games.
   
Against Pioneer, the first 32 1/2 minutes saw both teams battling each other with enthusiasm for loose balls, but it was the defenses of both sides that played best.
   
Lenox forced Panther goalkeeper Joe Larson to make four saves in that span, while his counterpart, junior Andrew Bravo, made one in that period.
